 Duane “Dog” Chapman’s Stepson Accidentally Shoots and Kills His 13-Year-Old Son

Gregory Zecca, who is the stepson of TV star Duane “Dog” Chapman, is said to have accidentally shot and killed his 13-year-old son, Anthony.

The sad event happened on Saturday, July 19, at an apartment in Naples, Florida, according to a report from TMZ.

Police told the news outlet that they got a call about a shooting at around 8:00 p.m. When they arrived, they found out that the situation was an accident and called it an "isolated incident", meaning it was not connected to anything bigger or dangerous to the public. So far, no one has been arrested.

Duane “Dog” Chapman, who is 72 years old, and his wife Francie Chapman (Gregory Zecca’s mother) shared a message with TMZ through a representative. They said:

“We are grieving as a family over this incomprehensible, tragic accident and would ask for continued prayers as we grieve the loss of our beloved grandson, Anthony.”

That means they are heartbroken and asking people to pray for them as they deal with this terrible loss.

Reporters from PEOPLE magazine tried to get more information from the couple and the Collier County Sheriff’s Office, but no one responded to them right away.

This is a very sad time for the Chapman family, who became famous from the reality TV show Dog the Bounty Hunter.
